This package is not primarily intended as a brand awareness or discovery tool. While creators can link to your brand to earn commissions and find your products to link through our catalog, we've found that brands achieve the greatest success when they pair this package with external brand awareness initiatives. Using these efforts in tandem helps amplify the impact of creator marketing. As you work to grow brand awareness and engage with creators off-platform, we recommend emphasizing that your brand is commissionable on ShopMy—this added incentive can help drive more creator engagement and links through the platform.
How do I grow my promoters on ShopMy?
One of the most effective ways to grow your promoter base on ShopMy is by onboarding creators with the Invite Talent feature. On the Launch Package, creator discovery and sourcing will occur off-platform. When building relationships with creators through off-platform initiatives such as gifting, partnerships, events, and outreach, we recommend sharing your custom onboarding page link to ensure you're building a strong, trackable creator network. How can I incentivize creators to continue promoting my brand?
Offering commission and onboarding talent that you develop relationships with off-platform can help grow your base of promoters on ShopMy. Once you've built that base, you can identify which creators are driving sales with the creator-level visibility offered through the Order Log. From there, you can offer incentives such as custom commission rates and discount codes to creators who are performing well to ensure that they remain engaged and incentivized to promote the brand.
How can I incentivize creators to link DTC vs a retailer?
If your brand is available through retailers, we recommend setting a commission rate that matches—or ideally exceeds—what those retailers offer on ShopMy. For instance, if a retailer selling your brand provides a 20% commission to creators, consider using that as your baseline. Offering a higher rate, such as 25%, can be even more appealing and increase the likelihood that creators will link directly to your DTC (direct-to-consumer) site.
In addition to a competitive commission, providing creators with exclusive discount codes adds another layer of incentive, making it even more attractive for them to drive traffic directly to your site.
My brand doesn't do codes. Can I still use this package?
Yes. While discount codes for creators are included in this package, they are not mandatory. Creators can still share commissionable affiliate links with their audience, even without a code. If you choose not to offer codes, we recommend providing a strong baseline commission rate and using custom, increased rates for select creators to further motivate them to promote your brand. This approach ensures you're still offering a compelling incentive that drives performance and visibility.
