Please see below for some example messages to consider pulling elements of to include in the Overview section of what you submit to a creator in their proposal. These are some key elements to any proposal:
- Address creator by name and include a personal message. For example “First off, I wanted to say I’m a big fan of your content.”
- If you have a specific campaign you are soliciting creators for, provide an overview of that information — the type of content, the dates, the coverage, etc.. If you have a brief, attach it in the uploads section of a proposal.
- If you are open to negotiating the deliverables/budget, make sure to note that. For example “We are definitely open to adjusting the deliverables, price and timeline, so let me know if you have any interest at all. I can adjust the proposal and resubmit to you once we are aligned.” Remember that you can edit proposals and resubmit then after chatting about the details with a creator.
- Tell them your name in the signature. The creators like to add a face to the brand!
Example Message #1: Specific Coverage and Content in Mind
Example of a message you would send to a creator you want to participate in a specific campaign, note that this is being addressed as if you know the creator is already a fan of the brand. Remember that you can go back and forth with the creator on price and deliverables via Chat, then you can resubmit proposals. Once accepted by the creator, the proposal becomes a live collaboration.
Hi there Sarah!
First off, I wanted to say that I’m a huge fan of your content, and wanted to gauge your interest in working with us in a paid capacity. We are seeking skincare creators to promote our upcoming launch of our new Peptide Serum. Since I know you are a fan of our brand, I thought you might be a good fit. I’m attaching a brief here that reviews more details on the product in case that’s helpful.
We are seeking creators to make 15s TikToks about the product launch. As for budget, we were thinking about $5k, and we’re also planning to issue custom discount codes and increase commission to 20% for the duration of the campaign.
For timing, we are looking for content to be submitted for approval to us by the 10th of June. Posts will need to go up on June 30th as that is the launch day. If the budget and timeline sounds good to you, please accept the proposal.
Thanks very much for considering,
Olivia

Example Message #2: General Partnership Proposal
Example of a message you would send to a creator that you know you want to work with in a paid capacity, but you are open to the type of content and what they cover — it could be a number of different products and it could be either YouTube, IG, etc. You want the creators input on what they want to do the most. Remember that you can go back and forth with the creator on price and deliverables via Chat, then you can resubmit proposals. Once accepted by the creator, the proposal becomes a live collaboration.
Hi there Sarah!
First off, I wanted to say that I’m a huge fan of your content, and we really appreciate the support you’ve given to our brand. I wanted to gauge your interest in working with us in a paid capacity.
I’ve made a proposal here, but if you’d like to work together, we are totally open to the type of content (YouTube, IG, TikTok, etc) and subject matter you cover (really, we’d be open to you covering any of the products of ours that you’re a fan of).
Let me know your thoughts! If you’re interested, we can align on what you’d like to do and your budget, then I can adjust the proposal and resubmit to you. Thanks very much for considering and let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Olivia
