Setting Up an Agency % Split (Take Rate)

If your agreement with a creator includes a split for Opportunity flat-fee bonuses, ShopMy has a built-in take-rate feature to manage this automatically.

How It Works

The take-rate is set by the creator. Once it's added, your agency's portion is automatically split from their Opportunity earnings and remitted to your agency account.

What is a take-rate? A take-rate is a percentage of your creators' flat-fee Opportunity earnings that gets split off and paid to your agency account. Creators set this themselves in their Account Management settings — once it's applied, you'll see it reflected under My Talent.

How the Creator Sets It Up

The steps depend on whether the creator has already added you as their manager.

If you're already added as a manager: they just need to update their management settings.

  1. Account Settings
  1. Account Management
  1. Click Edit next to your name
  1. Enter the percentage under Take Rate on Opportunities (e.g., 20%)
  1. Done

If you haven't been added as a manager yet: they'll set the take-rate at the same time they add you. They follow the standard Add Manager steps and enter the percentage under Take Rate on Opportunities before saving.

Once set, the split will appear under your My Talent tab, so you can confirm it's active for each creator.

Each creator needs to set this individually. There's no bulk-apply option — the rate is configured per creator-manager relationship.
