How does a curator decide which products to recommend?

Curators build edits based on the specific details of a shopper's request: their size, budget, taste references, occasion, and context. They use their own expertise alongside ShopMy's catalog search tools to find the best match.

The technology helps surface relevant options. The recommendation itself always comes from a real person.


What makes a product more likely to be recommended?

A few things curators prioritize when building an edit:

  • In-stock and size-filtered — products available in the shopper's size win over everything else. Incomplete availability data means a product may be skipped even if it's a great fit.
  • Strong product data — clear images, accurate sizing, and honest descriptions help curators recommend with confidence.
