How do I connect my store to ShopMy?
If your store runs on a platform other than Shopify, you'll connect it manually. The first few steps are the same for every brand — after that, your setup depends on whether ShopMy tracks your orders directly, or whether you're joining through an existing affiliate network.
Note: these instructions cover tracking integration only. Your product catalog is set up directly with your ShopMy Onboarding team, not through this flow.
Step 1: Send over your product feed
ShopMy will sync with your product catalog. This sync will pull products into your lookbooks for creator gifting and into ShopMy's creator-facing app for easier linking. At your earliest convenience, please provide us with a link to a product feed meeting this criteria:
- Acceptable feed methods are SFTP, FTP, AFTP, live file we can download directly, or live Google sheet
- Acceptable formats: json, csv, xml
- The provided fields should include:
- Product title
- Product URL
- Brand name
- Image URL
- Price
- Description
- Variations
- Color/shade
- Size
- Availability
ShopMy requires each product SKU to be listed in its own row, clearly separated by variation, gender, and size, with attributes broken out into individual columns. Please avoid listing multiple SKUs in a single field.
Note: if you already have a product feed set up through an affiliate network (CJ, Rakuten, Impact, AWIN, etc.), we may be able to retrieve it directly from there instead of you sending one separately — let your onboarding contact know.
Step 2: Add your domain
Enter the domain(s) you want to make commissionable for creators (e.g. yourbrand.com). Add all relevant domains before continuing — each one goes through tracking setup to ensure creators can earn commission properly.
Step 3: Select your POS system
Choose Other from the dropdown instead of Shopify, then click Next.

From here, the path depends on how your orders are tracked.
Path A: Other POS + ShopMy network
ShopMy tracks your orders directly. Your commission rate isn't live until setup and your first invoice are processed.
Step 4: Commission information
Confirms the network your orders track through. Shows ShopMy as the network and your contracted rate.

Step 5: Set up click tracking
Paste the one-line script just before the closing </body> tag on your main site template. It must be present on every page as a first-party cookie, then confirmed with the test link.

Step 6: Set up order tracking
Add the script to your order confirmation page, replace the placeholder values with your real checkout system values, then test with a real order.

Step 7: Set up order updates
Notify ShopMy whenever an order changes. Your order_id must match the format your confirmation system uses, or updates can't be attributed correctly.

Step 8: Set up order cancellations
Same order_id matching applies here, so cancelled orders correctly revert commission.

Path B: Other POS + another affiliate network
Your existing network handles tracking and payouts, not ShopMy's pixel. There are no ShopMy scripts to place on this path.
Step 4: Commission information
Confirms the network your orders track through. When you're on another network, this shows that network's name and your contracted rate instead of ShopMy.

Step 5: Approve ShopMy as a publisher
In your affiliate network account (Rakuten, CJ, Impact, Pepperjam, Partnerize, AWIN, or similar), approve ShopMy as a publisher.
Step 6: Set your commission rate
Set the commission rate for ShopMy directly through your network — this is what creators will earn on sales they drive.
Step 7: Confirm the connection
Your onboarding contact confirms the network connection is active and walks you through anything remaining.
Need help?
Reach out to your ShopMy onboarding contact — they'll confirm which path applies to your store and walk through anything unclear.
