How long should an Opportunity run?

There's no required length. You set the tracking window with a start and end date, and the ideal duration depends on the type of campaign you're running and your goal.

For evergreen or organic promotion, run the Opportunity for a full month. This gives creators enough time to receive product (if gifting is included), plan their content, and share it naturally with their audience. If you're gifting, remember that product ships after a creator accepts, so leave enough runway for delivery before you expect content to go live.

For Promotional Opportunities tied to a specific sale or marketing moment, align the tracking window with the duration of that campaign, typically a few days to a week.

A few things to keep in mind about your end date:

  • Once the Opportunity ends, new creators can no longer join, and new clicks and sales stop counting toward that Opportunity's goals and payout. Give creators enough runway to participate before it closes.
  • Make sure the window is long enough to fit what you're asking of creators. If the run is shorter than your posting requirements, creators may be unable to accept.
  • Ending an Opportunity does not turn off creators' links. Any links they've already shared keep working and keep earning commission. The end date simply closes that Opportunity's tracking window.

The timeline should support your objective, whether that's driving conversions around a launch or building sustained visibility over time.
