Collaborate
Develop meaningful partnerships with top talent tailored to your brand.
Custom Rates
With ShopMy, your brand has the flexibility to set two types of commission rates.
If you are integrated directly via our Shopify integration, you can update the commission rate extended to all ShopMy creators. To do this navigate to Account Settings and scroll down to Update Commission.
To change an individual’s commission rate, click into their creator card and then tap Commission Rate. Enter the commission rate you’d like to provide and click Save.
Alternatively, adjust rates directly in that chat by choosing % Offer Rate next to the creator’s name.
Note: External network integrations do not support issuing custom commission rates.
Discount Codes
Elevate creator engagement and boost conversions with our commissionable discount codes feature. There are two different types of discount codes you can provide creators:
Utilize this format if you’d like creators to have a general code that will apply to their full cart. With this format you need to set a code, a discount amount and you can provide a brief message to talent.
Use this format if you only want this code to apply to specific Shopify collections. The steps are the same as discount for orders except you’ll need to create a collection of the products you want the discount to apply to in your Shopify and then you’ll need to select that collection on ShopMy.
Once you’ve extended the code, it will pull into your Shopify account.
Discount Code Best Practices
Check out our Messaging Template page for some inspiration.
From our experience, 15% off is the lowest percentage off that moves the needle. Your codes should also be equal or greater than whatever your standard or welcome off is.
Advanced Options
You can add multiple codes via the talent card and it will create the code in Shopify. You cannot have two of the same codes for the same user and Shopify Domain. For example, you cannot add JULIA15 if that code already exists.
With the Shopify App integration, you can now add a code and pick which domains you want the code to be created on within Shopify. When creating a code check off each domain you want the code to be active on. Only order level discount codes are supported when there are multiple shopify integrations - you cannot do this for Discount Products.
Check out these guides for setting custom discount codes on AWIN, Pepperjam and Impact.
What external affiliate networks are eligible to do custom discount codes with ShopMy?
- With AWIN, Pepperjam and Impact you can offer custom discount codes.
- With ShareASale, Rakuten, CJ, Partnerize, FlexOffers or Webgains you cannot offer custom discount codes.
Click on the hamburger icon in the top right corner of your account and click on “Custom Codes”. It will look like the image below:
- Synced with Shopify - this means that the code is set up properly and if you update the code in ShopMy, it will update in Shopify.
- Active - this means the code is “Active” in a creator’s account and the creator believes they have a commissionable discount code with your brand. Please check your POS system’s code to ensure it is redeemable on your site. If it is active in your POS system then the creator will receive credit for any purchases using the code.
Hint: If you have the Shopify App, all codes should be “Synced with Shopify”. If you do not have the Shopify App implemented or a different POS system, it will say “Active”. and you must update the code in your POS system to match.
To delete a code click into the talent card >> click the pencil icon >> select Remove Code. This will delete the code on ShopMy and in your Shopify.
Collaborations
Explore our latest collaboration feature, offering brands the opportunity for paid partnerships with guaranteed social coverage.
Understanding Collaborations
Collaborations initiate through proposals, either proposed by you or sent to you by talent. These proposals are customizable and editable until both parties agree on the terms. Upon agreement, proposals transition into active collaborations, where talent submits content for approval, tracks progress, provides reports, and receives payment. There a few ways to source talent for collaborations:
Utilize filters on the Discover page to pinpoint creators aligned with your brand. Browse talent cards for detailed insights. To learn more about Discover click here.
Review incoming proposals by evaluating the creator’s profile, mentions and social accounts.
Leverage existing brand advocates for collaborations. Analyze the Promoters tab in your talent dashboard to identify top creators based on clicks or volume.
Invite potential collaborations to the platform using your custom landing page and code. Once they join, initiate proposals for collaborations directly through ShopMy.
If you’re interested in paid collaborations, connect with your Brand Success Manager to explore package options and potential opportunities.
Propose or Accept a Collaboration
Proposals can be initiated by either you or the talent. Both parties negotiate terms such as pricing, deliverables, and deadlines through chat. The proposing party refines the proposal until the receiving party approves it, finalizing the collaboration terms. To learn more about our proposal process click here.
Execution of Collaboration
Once approved, the proposal evolves into a live collaboration. During this phase, talent shares content and captions for your approval and links associated content for tracking post-publishing. Meanwhile, you manage trackable links and approve content.
Seamless Talent Payment
Upon completion, you'll receive an invoice from Shop My, similar to commission invoices. We handle the fee collection and disburse payments to the talent.
Bonusing Campaigns
Brands now have the option to bonus creators, which allows them to send payment without going through the steps of the collaboration tool. This will primarily be used for brands that have bonuses for creators once they achieve specific order volume levels.
All bonuses come from the budget that your brand sets on the platform. You can only send a bonus if you have enough budget remaining. If you need to add more funds, you can do so on the platform. We will generate and send you an invoice via Stripe. Once that invoice is paid you will be able to continue sending bonuses to creators.
